Dr. Larry Aikens served in the ministry since 1992 and became our pastor in 2003. He and his wife, Holly, come from conservative, independent-fundamental, Baptist backgrounds and were both involved in the ministry with their families since early childhood. His parents were discipled under the ministry of Dr. Curtis Hutson at Forrest Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia, and were sent forth from there as missionaries. Dr. Aikens attended Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, and then obtained his ministry degree in 1994 at Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, Georgia. After completing the requirements for a Master of Theology degree from Covington in 2000, he then earned his Doctorate in Theology in 2001, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Scholastic Honors Award. He and his wife, Holly, have two children, Nathaniel, and Jessica. Read his testimony and see a picture of his family.
