Luke 16:31 - "And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."

Introduction

Do you see the word, persuaded?  This man was almost persuaded to come to Jesus, but remained lost in his sin.  Sadly, this man is now spending eternity in Hell because he was almost persuaded.

Message: Pride kept this man from Jesus.  He did not need a Saviour, so he thought.  He was a self-made man.  But, that was only in this lifetime.  As soon as he faced God, he realized his foolishness.  Friend, you have the Word of God, the witness and warning of a preacher – why are you almost persuaded, but still lost?
