Introduction

The Christian life is compared to a foot race in the Bible. The starting gate is salvation, and the finish line is the Second Coming of Christ. There is a danger of falling before the finish.

Please understand me. I am not talking about losing your salvation, for that is secure in Christ. But, I am speaking of a Christian’s losing effectiveness. How we need to remain steadfast in our values – living a holy life. We need to be steadfast in our vision – ready for Christ’s return. And we need to be steadfast in our victory – not losing the ground already conquered. Dear Christian, please don’t fall before the finish. Stay in the race!
