Providing Survival Skills for Today's Teens
Training and equipping teens to know, stand for, and share the Truth is the awesome task of Youth ALIVE. Youth ALIVE stands for "Always Living in View of Eternity," and is the motto of our growing teen ministry. Under the leadership of the Youth Director, the teen ministry seeks to recognize and help meet the special challenges facing teens.
EBT provides a cutting edge ministry which appeals to them where they are, without ever compromising the truth of the gospel. From junior high school through high school, the Youth ALIVE Ministry is extensive, providing a wide range of programs and activities to help teens grow in their faith. Each week many junior high and senior high teens get together at EBT to study God's Word, build each other up, and have a good time.
Special events and getaways, such as monthly activities, after-church fellowships, camps, retreats, and mission trips, offer a great time to relax with old friends, meet some new friends, and draw closer to God – and drawing closer to God is what the Youth ALIVE Ministry is all about!
YOUTH A.L.I.V.E.
Youth ALIVE meets every Wednesday at 7:00 PM. It is a special training session where teens can have fun and grow into a deeper walk with God.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
EBT offers several Bible classes for teens according to their grade and gender. Sunday School is a time for teens to interact in smaller groups to learn about the Bible and get to know teens their own age.
SWAT
SWAT stands for "Soul-Winning Action Teams." This outreach opportunity for teens gives them a chance to prepare the way for soul-winning teams to lead people to a saving knowledge of faith. They canvas neighborhoods leaving tracts at each door and asking those who are home several questions about their religious background and beliefs. SWAT meets each Wednesday evening before church.
MUSIC
Music is an important part of worship at EBT. God commands us to "sing a new song" and "make His praise glorious." Our teens have an opportunity to participate in several avenues of music at EBT. The Melody Choir provides a fun way to sing songs that teens enjoy. When a teen turns 16, he or she may choose to join the adult choir. Teens may also participate in the EBT Orchestra and the EBT Handbell Choir.
